Our budget plans for 2022/23 were agreed by Council on Thursday 24 February 2022. These show how we will deliver a balanced budget and also set out our plans for the future.

In our budget for the year ahead we have had to make savings of £6m, or around 1.6% of our overall budget. Services across the Council have identified ways to do this while seeking to maintain the services you want and trust.
At the same time we also understand that the pandemic, alongside the emerging cost of living increases, have brought real challenges and worries to individuals and families across East Ayrshire.
In response to these challenges, in the year ahead we plan to use our COVID-19 funding from the Scottish Government to invest in key areas and continue our partnership work with communities to provide help where it is needed most.
