We know that the interruption in key family relationships, friendships and the absence of the structure provided by schools has affected the emotional and mental wellbeing of many children and young people.

We have had deep engagement with children and young people through our schools, services and networks, and particularly through the Children and Young People’s Cabinet.

As well as sharing their personal experiences, they have told us about their concerns for their education and future life prospects, and how they want to be fully engaged in the conversations on recovery and renewal.
