Each year we support local communities and groups who may wish to get involved in clean up campaigns. These include community councils, tenants and residents groups, schools and other locally organised groups or individuals.

Throughout the summer we run Pick a Park clean up campaigns and have successfully cleaned up our local parks thanks to volunteers which have included members of the community, elected members and senior council officers. Other successful clean ups have included riverside's, woodland areas and paths.

If your group would like to clean up a local litter blackspot, we will be happy to offer our support, including the loan of litter pickers, litter bags, gloves, high-viz vests and practical advice by trained officers. We can also arrange for any items to be uplifted and disposed of after such events or provide a skip if appropriate.

To arrange a litter pick or additional support for your local event please contact Greener Communities.
