Grass cutting is carried out by Greener Communities which operates to specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) which identify workloads, priorities, specification and timescales.
Litter is cleared from all sites before the grass is cut although no cuttings are lifted in open areas. Grass cuttings are however cleared from all hardstanding areas surrounding the grass plot after cutting.
There are currently 20 cuts per year broken down into two winter cuts and 18 summer cuts. This total is dependent on weather though and grass cutting may be suspended due to inclement weather conditions.
