The 2020 garden competition for gardeners with the greenest fingers is now open for nominations.
Gardeners across East Ayrshire are invited to enter the Council’s annual garden competition which is now in its 83rd year.
The competition is open to anyone living in East Ayrshire with a garden, no matter how big or small, which is maintained by themselves and not a professional gardener, and there are prizes and trophies up for grabs.

- Kilmarnock Central and South
- North West Kilmarnock
A winner and runner up are selected in each of the following categories:

There are also two exciting categories for communities:

Judging of the event
Judging usually takes place during the last week 2 weeks in August, but this will be in line with COVID-19 restrictions and weather dependent.
All entrants will be informed of the exact judging date by letter or by telephone. The winner of each category will be chosen by Council officers from Housing and Outdoor Services. The overall winner will be selected by representatives from the East Ayrshire Federation
If COVID-19 restrictions allow, all of our winners will be invited to attend an awards ceremony later in the year. Otherwise, we will notify you of the presentation procedures.
