Project overview
Ideally, storytelling activities will run throughout the project. The schoolchildren will be encouraged to share the experience of their archaeological journey whilst they are discovering Mauchline’s heritage. The children can share their findings in a method or medium of their choice, perhaps through interpretation, performance or art. There is a great opportunity to work closely with Creative Minds.
Archaeology Scotland’s Heritage Hero Awards recognises participants who share what they have learnt in imaginative ways whilst inspiring others by what they have created. Whilst reflecting on the skills they have developed the children will also be able to evaluate how they can use them in the future.
