The Scottish Lime Centre Trust (SLCT) produced a training programme for traditional building skills.
Course Information
This practical course will prove invaluable if you have a property with sash and case windows. Including a short history of the development of windows before looking at the different components that make up a window and the issues to consider when approaching repairs. Topics covered will include window dismantling and reassembly, replacing ropes, weights, panes and putty. Various repair and improvement techniques will also be covered.

One full day course scheduled for Wednesday 20 September 2023.

Contractors and building owners.
Cost
There will be no costs payable by the attendee, however a refundable £20 deposit will be required upon booking to secure your place within the course. This deposit will be refunded upon completion of the course.
Travel Bursary
A financial bursary may be available for attendees to reimburse the cost of travel to and from the course. Evidence of travel costs must be submitted upon completion of the course to receive payment. For attendees travelling by car receipts of fuel will be required and a reimbursement at the rate of £0.45p/mile will be issued.
