We are thrilled to announce that the Mauchline Heritage App is officially available for download!
Developed as a core part of the Mauchline Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS), this digital companion brings our village's storied past directly to your smartphone, the app is now live and available to download for free on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
As our time supporting the Mauchline community through the CARS project draws to a close, this app stands as a lasting digital legacy for the village. We have truly enjoyed working alongside such passionate partners to bring this project to life.
Community collaboration
The app is the result of a team effort including local students, historians, and tech experts:
- Ayrshire College students created the app's aesthetic and visual style.
- Pupils from Robert Burns Academy were behind the interactive elements, branding, and themes.
- The Mauchline Burns Club provided audio recordings. These recordings bring the stories of the National Bard and local landmarks to life.
- Neill Ritchie from Aerial Digital was the digital specialist. His expertise helped combine the elements into a high-quality product.
