Our Supported Employment Team helps people with learning disabilities, autism or aspergers living in East Ayrshire, who are looking for employment of at least 16 hours per week.
Anyone who has been formally looked after by a local authority, in the family home with support from a social worker, in a residential or foster home or in kinship care with friends or relatives, also qualifies for support.
Our job coaches identify the right person for the right job and gives support to both employer and employee to help make the transition into employment as smooth as possible.
Employability
We help with applications, CVs, interview skills, work experience, job search and access to vacancies.
Training
We can assist with training to help you move into work or progress within your current job.
In work coaching
Our specially trained jobs coaches help you with any specific equipment needs or arrangements, and oversee your training to help you develop confidence in your new job.
Support for the employer
We can support employers with disability awareness training, recruitment and workplace adaptations. Our specialist Supported Employment Team works with the UK Government’s Disability Confident employer scheme to expand and facilitate employment opportunities.
