The special uplift service provides two different types of collections for East Ayrshire residents:
Bulky uplifts are for larger items such as household furniture, carpets, electrical items and white goods.
DIY and demolition debris such as windows, doors, garden sheds, bricks, slabs or builders rubble, trees, fencing, coal bunkers, storage heaters, asbestos and vehicle parts will not be collected.
We also separate as many materials as possible for recycling or re-use. This means uplifts may require more than one vehicle or visit.
Arrange your special uplift
To arrange for a special uplift please contact your nearest Customer Services Centre or Waste Management Services. They will process your payment, take your name, address and details of the items you wish to have collected. Please note that cash is no longer accepted at Customer Service Centres as a payment option. Find out about other ways to pay.
You will be advised to place your items within your property boundary as close as possible to your usual collection point. We aim to collect items within seven working days.
There are also a number of reuse projects which operate in East Ayrshire. If your unwanted items are in good repair, please consider donating items to these projects to enable others to benefit:
