Size of skips
Eight cubic yard skips are available for hire.
Hire period
We normally provide a seven day hire, although a longer rental period can be arranged.
Please note that skips cannot be collected on a Saturday or Sunday.
Charges
Skip charges are as follows:
- landfill waste: £227.23 plus VAT
- recyclate only waste, for example, wood only or soil and rubble only: £94.78 plus VAT
If you need us to empty and return the skip during the agreed hire period we will apply a second charge.
Location of skip
Where possible, skips should be located on your private property such as a driveway or garden.
If this is not possible, and you need to put the skip on the road, we will arrange a skip hire permit for you. It can take up to three days to get this permit which costs £47.36 and is valid for 14 days.
Materials not allowed in skips
The following materials must not be put in skips:
- hazardous waste
- clinical waste
- fridges/freezers
- gas canisters
- asbestos
- oil or chemical drums
