We offer a wide range of grants to voluntary organisations as well as, in some instances, grants for business.

All grants are considered by the Grants Committee

The Council has agreed to introduce a closing date for the receipt of grant applications to be considered by the Grants Committee during 2021.  Details of the Grants Committee meeting dates together with the closing dates are detailed below:

At a meeting of the Grants Committee held on 15 March 2018, it was agreed that the budget in respect of Community Grants to Local Organisations would be reduced by 20% over the next 2 financial years.

During this two year period the Council will investigate future options for Community Grants, including participatory budgeting, to maximise the benefits to local communities.

In order to help manage its reduced funding pot, the Committee also agreed the revised Grants Criteria.

Therefore, if you are applying for grant funding for any project within the next two financial years you should take note of this revised criteria and the maximum amount of funding that will be available to you.

We can also help you discover other potential funding sources. Have a look at our community investment and funding page for more information.
