The Project Support team provides support to the Project Delivery teams, in terms of contractual, administrative, and financial matters.
The main responsibilities of the Project Support team are:
- Financial monitoring and preparation of financial reports on the Council’s property related capital and major maintenance programmes
- Processing of contract payments and invoices
- Providing support on procurement and contractual arrangements ensuring compliance with all procurement legislation and the Council’s standing orders
- Providing central and team specific administration support to the various teams within the service
- Providing a project planning function, including resource planning, to the project delivery teams within the service and providing regular progress reporting
- Controlling the Corporate Infrastructure control service budget, and the calculation and recovery of professional fees for the service
- Managing and controlling commitments and payments to external consultants
