If you, or someone you know, who lives within East Ayrshire is due to celebrate a diamond, platinum or blue sapphire wedding anniversary and you wish to request civic recognition of this special occasion, please either complete our online anniversary request form or contact us.
It's usual for the Provost (or if the Provost is unavailable, the Depute Provost), along with the local councillor for the area, to call on the couple to present a basket of flowers on behalf of the Council.
Also, if a copy of the marriage certificate can be provided at least four weeks prior to the celebration, a message of congratulations from His Majesty The King can be requested.
It may also be possible to arrange a photocall and, if you are interested in this, you should let us know your interest when making the arrangements. The timing of the Provost's visit will be confirmed to the applicant by letter.
