If you, or someone you know, residing within East Ayrshire, is due to celebrate a 100th birthday and you wish to request civic recognition of this special occasion, you should complete and return, by post, the 100th birthday application form.
It's usual for the Provost (or if the Provost is unavailable, the Depute Provost), along with the local councillor for the area, to call on the person to present a basket of flowers on behalf of the Council. In addition, if a copy of the birth certificate can be provided at least four weeks prior to the celebration, a message of congratulations from Her Majesty The Queen can be requested.
It may also be possible to arrange a photo call and, if you are interested in this, you should indicate your interest when making the arrangements. The timing of the Provost's visit will be confirmed to the applicant by letter.
If you would like to apply for civic hospitality please either complete the application form or contact the Council, details in the contact information section.
