Lost Blue Badge

Applicants must advise the Blue Badge Team if their Blue Badge is lost, report the loss to Police Scotland and obtain a "pink slip" or a "crime reference number".

If the original Blue Badge is not found, a replacement will be issued within four weeks from the date of reporting the loss.

Applicants should complete a Duplicate Blue Badge Application Form which can be downloaded at apply for or renew a Blue Badge.

Misuse of Blue Badge

Blue Badges are the property of local authorities, who can take them away if they are misused.

The Blue Badge is for the use of the Blue Badge holder only, and it is an offence to allow other people to use it. It is also an offence to park in an on-street Blue Badge parking bay without displaying a badge.

You should report the misuse of a Blue Badge to your local Social Work office.

You should also contact the Police as it is a criminal offence to misuse a Blue Badge. Find out more about the misuse of badges at mygov.scot: Report a lost, stolen or misused Blue Badge.
