History of the building

The striking, beautifully restored Victorian Ballochmyle sandstone building sits in a prominent position at the top of the town's John Finnie Street.

Originally designed by prominent local architect, Robert Ingram, after whom the new venture is named, it first opened as offices for Ingram Bros Architects in 1895.

Project funding

The project was funded by East Ayrshire Council together with:

It was built to award winning standards thanks to extensive input from Historic Environment Scotland.

Refurbished Ingram Enterprise Centre

The newly refurbished and renamed Ingram Enterprise Centre was conceived and is now run by East Ayrshire Council's Economic Development team who support over 600 businesses each year to start up and to grow.

It is now home to a host of new and expanding businesses, taking advantage of the building's fully serviced office suites and meeting rooms which are designed to provide the ideal environment to foster success for entrepreneurs.

With state-of-the-art connectivity and business facilities, tenants can access a full range of business support, with the added bonus of the presence of Business Gateway office based on the ground floor.

Ingram Enterprise Centre is named after the renowned family of architects whose Kilmarnock practice was highly influential in the built landscape of East Ayrshire’s towns and beyond.
