At a time when living costs are at an all-time high, several broadband providers are offering social tariffs to help people receiving benefits to stay connected. Social tariffs are discounted broadband and mobile deals that are available to an estimated 4.3 million households that receive Universal Credit and other government benefits.
The packages offer superfast speeds and a price freeze for the duration of the contract, for as little as £12 a month. These reduced-price contracts could save eligible residents up to £202 a year on their broadband bills.
Please note these figures are correct as of April 2023.
