The East Ayrshire Junior Sports Council was established in 2018 as part of the Scottish Governments 2018 Year of Young People celebration. It was also seen by the East Ayrshire Sports Council as a way of giving young people a larger voice on the Executive Committee.
The group ranges from the ages of 11–25 years from local schools and clubs within East Ayrshire. The group are always looking for new members and have a short application form for any young person aged 11–25 years to complete to become a member. It is an exciting opportunity for young people from Sports Council affiliated clubs to meet new people, gain qualifications and learn from new experiences.
