In partnership with the East Ayrshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership, we support Individuals going through Recovery, along with their friends and family by help by helping them improve their health and wellbeing, connect with others and challenge stigma.
Health and wellbeing
We work closely with the East Ayrshire Recovery Hub by delivering health checks and having positive conversations around health and wellbeing. We also offer free access to the Hunter Centre (at the Northwest Area Centre) for those who are referred by recovery services.
Stigma
The Community Health Activity Team (CHAT) has a Stigma Officer, Fiona Rankin, whose role is to help challenge the stigma around recovery. Fiona is out in the community having positive conversations to help break down barriers for those looking for support in recovery and beyond. There is a Stigma working group that meets monthly and it brings together services that support recovery in East Ayrshire. Fiona is also Craft trained which means that support can be offered to friends and families.
