In 2012, The Prince’s Trust Scotland and sister charity, The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust merged to provide comprehensive business support to young people in Scotland under the name The Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme.
Through this programme, the Prince's Trust aims to support over 1800 young people across Scotland start around 650 new businesses each year.
The Enterprise Programme gives practical advice on how to start up a business, how to write a business plan, provides introductory finance training and can offer loans of up to £5,000 and grants of up to £1,000 dependent on the young person’s personal circumstances. Support is provided in conjunction with Business Gateway.
In Ayrshire there are regular information sessions that any young person, aged 18-30, interested in finding out more can attend.
