Funding will be allocated by the UK Government using a competitive bid approach, which will be managed by lead authorities for each of the 100 priority places as defined by the government.
East Ayrshire Council has been identified as a lead authority, with responsibility for inviting, assessing, prioritising, and submitting bids to the UK Government.
East Ayrshire has been defined as a priority destination for this funding, but this in itself does not guarantee funding. Priority places have been prioritised using the UK Government's Index of Economic Resilience.
No financial allocations have been set and the UK Government intend to support a range of projects by theme and size. Applicants are encouraged to maximise impact and deliverability through larger projects (£500,000+) and across theme projects where this is possible. Projects of different values will be considered where there is a good evidenced justification.
