Who can apply

You must meet the following criteria in order to be able to apply for this equipment:

  • Your community group must be based solely within East Ayrshire
  • The equipment must be located solely within East Ayrshire
  • There must be a clear need for the equipment (for example, high footfall, rural area)
  • Your community group must accept full responsibility for the ongoing operation of the equipment, including inspection/repair of the unit and replacement upkeep of all perishables, such as batteries and pads
  • On approval, to receive donated equipment your community group must agree to take part in reasonable communication and promotional activities with East Ayrshire Council and the donating company (this will be limited to a photoshoot on receipt of the equipment with East Ayrshire Council and company representatives and appropriate statements)

How to apply

  • Read through the criteria to check if your community group is eligible first - if you don't meet the criteria please don't apply as any application submitted will be unsuccessful
  • If you meet the criteria and wish to apply, you can complete and submit the online application form below
  • All received applications will be considered by our Health and Safety Manager who will oversee this process
  • Once your application has been considered you will be notified if it has been successful by the preferred method of communication you have given in the application form
