Food waste
You can recycle food waste in your food waste bins.
Food waste should be placed in a biodegradable bag, or wrapped in newspaper before being transferred to the external food waste bin.

Furniture
If your unwanted furniture is in good condition and you wish to donate it to benefit others, contact one of the local furniture redistribution schemes who will pass this on to those in need:

Local charity shops may also accept furniture or you can resell your unwanted items through free adverts in supermarkets or online.
Unusable wooden and metal furniture can be placed within the recycling skips at our Recycling Centres.
