All redundant white goods should be recycled. Takes these to your nearest Recycling Centre free of charge or use our special uplift service (a charge applies).
Food waste
If you have been issued with a silver kitchen caddy and a lockable 25L green external food bin, then you can recycle food waste via the kerbside, alongside the recycling trolley. Food waste should be either placed in a biodegradable sack, or wrapped in newspaper before being transferred to the external bin. Food waste is collected weekly.

Furniture
If your unwanted furniture is in good condition and you wish to donate it to benefit others, contact one of the local furniture redistribution schemes, who will pass on furniture of all kinds to those in need. Local charity shops may also accept furniture. Alternatively resell your unwanted items through free adverts in supermarkets or use the small adverts section in local newspapers.
Unusable wooden and metal furniture can be placed within the recycling skips at our Recycling Centres.
