Together with our Common Housing Register (CHR) partners, also known as SEARCH, we have introduced a scheme to assist tenants wishing to exchange their house with another CHR tenant or a tenant of another local authority or housing association.
This new way for exchanging houses is known as HomeSwapper, and is a web based system hosted by a partner organisation.
All charges for CHR partner tenants are free.
How to register for HomeSwapper
Tenants should:
- register on the HomeSwapper website
- complete the details of their own properties
- indicate the types of properties they would like to be matched with, and the areas they would like to be housed within
Acceptance of an exchange will still have to be agreed between both landlords before any exchange will be agreed.
