If you want to apply for social housing within East Ayrshire, you need to complete a SEARCH application for housing form. Application forms are available from any neighbourhood housing office or customer service centre, or can be downloaded under further information.
Please take time to complete your application form with as much information about your circumstances, housing requirements and preferences as possible. Missing information can lead to a delay in your application being processed and inaccurate information could mean you do not receive the correct points. If you are applying for a house due to medical circumstances you will also need to complete the health and disability forms. You will also be provided with a health and disability information leaflet. If you want to apply for supported accommodation you will need to complete a supported accommodation application form.
If you would like help to complete your form or to understand how we allocate our houses, please contact your neighbourhood housing team for advice and assistance using the details in the contact information section.
Once we receive your completed application form it will be assessed in accordance with our allocations policy and you will be placed on the appropriate housing list for your circumstances. Every application is assessed individually and those with the greatest housing need receive the greatest priority.
An information booklet is available and clearly sets out what size of house you are eligible for, how we will assess your application and explains how we calculate the points you may be awarded.
