The Council operates both public space security cameras (for example in town centres) and security cameras on Council premises.
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) images are recorded by the Council for the protection of the public and the safety and security of Council staff and Council property. These use of these images is controlled by the Data Protection law. All enquiries about accessing CCTV images should be directed to the Freedom of information Officer.
