Financial strategy and accounting

We are responsible for:

• budget preparation
• budget monitoring and control
• financial returns
• annual accounts
• professional advice to executive directors
• statutory and financial reporting
• financial and revenue ledger control
• activities to improve medium and long-term financial planning

Exchequer and capital finance 

We are responsible for:

• treasury management and capital financing
• insurance services
• rent accounting
• income management
• payment of all suppliers and creditors of the Council

Finance and business innovation

We are responsible for:

• customer services
• working with council services to progress business innovation and digital solutions
• financial systems management administration and development
• processing of Housing and Council Tax Benefits for residents
• processing of Scottish Welfare Fund Crisis Grants and Community Care Grants
• billing and collection for Council Tax and business rates (non-domestic rates)
• recovery of sundry debts and Housing Benefit overpayments

ICT Infrastructure and digital/applications and business

We are responsible for:

• IT systems and applications support
• IT account management
• IT voice and data networks
• IT desktop and education support
• ICT service desk
• IT security 
• Data centre management
