We monitor air quality throughout East Ayrshire using a network of 23 passive diffusion tubes (which measure NO2); two automatic monitoring stations in John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock and New Cumnock Games Hall; and a particulate monitor presently located at the Council's Lugar offices.
The two automatic stations in Kilmarnock and New Cumnock measure particulates (PM10) and NO2. Both of these sites provide real-time data which can be accessed through the Air Information Resource link on the right.
