Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) in East Ayrshire is a monthly case conference which safeguards adult victims of domestic abuse at risk of significant harm or death.
The MARAC includes agency representatives from:
- East Ayrshire Council (housing, adult, children justice, social work and education)
 
- NHS Ayrshire & Arran
 
- Police Scotland
 
- ASSIST (Advocacy, Support, Safety, Information, Services, Together)
 
- East Ayrshire Women’s Aid
 
At the meeting, information about the victim and the perpetrator are shared in order to gain a full picture of the risks in order for a safety plan to be created.
