The East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (EAHSCP) recognise that a dedicated communications presence is required to ensure the transformational change programme is supported with the strategic communication of key messages by utilising a range of communications methods.

A Draft Communications Strategy was developed which sets out the approach to delivering this. The strategy proposes a communication programme which can evidence a correlation between strategic communication and the Partnership's performance using the OASIS framework. The OASIS framework is a nationally recognised approach which seeks to demonstrate campaigns are effective, efficient and evaluated. The framework can be used for strategically planned communications and interactions over time can deliver a defined and measurable outcome.

The Draft Communications Strategy was submitted to the Integration Joint Board (IJB) with an accompanying position paper on Wednesday 27 November 2019 and was approved.

The strategy has been developed for one year (2020/21) initially and then will be revised in line with the annual review of the Strategic Plan to reflect a three year strategy from 2021 onwards. The Draft Communications Strategy was then presented for public consideration and comment and revised in light of feedback received.

The Communications Strategy (PDF 959 KB) is now available. A simpler Communications Strategy leaflet is also available.
