Our insurance scheme
We work together with Thistle Insurance Services and Royal Sun Alliance Insurance plc, to offer tenants a Contents Insurance Scheme. Especially designed for Council tenants, it’s simple, straightforward and value for money. What’s more, it’s payable weekly the same as your rent.
How it works
The scheme offers two basic cover options:
- Standard cover
- Standard cover plus extended accidental damage cover (for an additional cost)
Both options insure the contents of your home against loss or damage caused by fire, flood, storm, theft, escape of water and other similar causes.
For a further additional cost, cover may also be extended to include loss or damage to personal effects whilst outside your home, including items such as pedal cycles and sports equipment.
We can now also offer specific cover for wheelchairs/motorised scooters for a further additional premium.
This insurance does not cover your property against everything that can happen.
