Migration Notice letter

If you have received a Migration Notice letter, please do not panic.

If you have been invited by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to move to Universal Credit you will not lose out financially. Your money will remain the same as long as there are no changes to your circumstances during the migration period.

A 'transitional protection' will protect your current entitlement and erode over time with increases in the Universal Credit elements. However, there are certain change of circumstances that will stop this payment. The Migration Notice will explain the next step that you must take in order to move to Universal Credit and how long you have to complete the move.

If you need extra support please contact the DWP directly via the contact details on the Migration Notice or contact our Universal Credit Support Team.
