Key issues |
The East Ayrshire HSCP is committed to tackling discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity and promoting good relations within our workforce and in our communities. As an organisation, we strive to mainstream equality, diversity and human rights for all of our residents, partners and staff, in the way we operate when acting as a: policy maker, service provider, decision maker, and buyer of goods and services. As such, any substantial changes to service provision, policies or new budget proposals that are likely to have an impact on local people, the workforce or other stakeholders. In relation to Children`s Health Care and Justice services some of the specific groups that will benefit from this plan include:
Children and young people; children with disabilities; Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children; Care experienced children and young people; women and girls (Violence Against Women Partnership work); Older people/people with disabilities in receipt of support from Ayrshire Out of Hours Service; pregnant women being supported by the Early Years service; and adults and children in conflict with the law |
Summary of involvement with Groups |
The East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan 2021-2030 underwent a statutory review for 2024-2027 which included consultation with partners and the public. The equality forum was included in this consultation and results of this fed into the process for the service improvement plan. The Partnership`s Participation and Engagement Strategy 2023-26 was also used to inform development of the service improvement plan as it highlights key areas for the service to focus, and was also based on extensive engagement, including equality groups. |
