The aim of the review is to ensure that the polling places used within East Ayrshire area are still suitable and accessible as polling places. |

Current polling scheme used as a basis for consultation. The Council have followed Electoral Commission guidance on Review of polling districts, polling places and polling stations. The Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 also places a duty on the Council to carry out a compulsory review of its polling districts and places. |

Wide consultation took place with disability groups and the wider community, through various methods such as individual interviews, surveys and contacting existing groups. |
