This policy and procedure is designed to provide a fair, effective and transparent approach to the recruitment and selection of Head and Depute Head Teachers.

The policy provides a framework in which roles and responsibilities are clearly defined to ensure the recruitment and selection process is carried out fairly, consistently and without discrimination in order to achieve an adaptable and highly skilled workforce to meet the Council's objectives for Education.
