This Policy has previously been assessed and it was determined that no equality impact assessment was required. The recent review has resulted in only minor changes to wording within the policy. The policy was developed in consultation with the Trade Unions and is based on national legislative guidance. This policy as with all other policies recognises the requirements of Equality Act and our Recruitment & Selection, Learning & Development and other HR policies / support mentioned in the document have robust processes to ensure they are accessible to anyone no matter their ability. The policy is applicable to all employees within a staff group where SSSC registration is mandatory.
