Our Community Planning Partners, in partnership with AccessAble (the new name for DisabledGo), developed an access guide for a large number of buildings and locations in East Ayrshire.
AccessAble is a national online access guide available to everyone and the access information is free of charge.
The website helps those with specific access requirements to check venues in the area for the precise requirements they have.
The AccessAble website has information about East Ayrshire that includes access guides for:
- council offices
- hospitals
- libraries
- shops
- hotels
- leisure centres
- clubs
- places of interest, and lots more
All the locations have been visited by an AccessAble trained researcher and the information includes things like:
- car parking
- lifts
- ramps and steps
- accessible toilets
- changing areas
