A sum of £3.700m will be invested in Dunlop Primary School and Early Childhood Centre.
Early years
In light of the recent Scottish Government statement in relation to the expansion of early years’ provision, all projects within the Capital programme involving Early Childhood Centres will be reconsidered to ensure that any planned scope of works can deliver the increased hours.
Dunlop Early Childhood Centre site investigations are ongoing and once concluded a decision will be made on the location of the provision.

- As noted for the Early Childhood Centre, once a location has been determined, a final brief for the school will be developed.

Project update
- The new temporary modular unit which offers flexible, supplementary space for cookery, drama, ICT, library and parents’ meetings is now fully operational.
- Planning approval for the modular unit (temporary classroom) has now been granted.
- An initial feasibility scheme has been prepared and discussed with relevant stakeholders.
- Draft proposals to allow the safe delivery of the works are in the process of being prepared.
