Landfill sites

Our planning authority monitors the operation, restoration and aftercare of landfills sites. Monitoring reports for the sites which are currently being operated or restored are available to view below.

Regulation 28 of The Management of Extractive Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2010 requires the Council to maintain an inventory of closed and abandoned waste facilities, as defined in those regulations. No such facilities within East Ayrshire are considered to meet the definitions set out within Regulation 28 at this time.
