The review proposals emphasise community engagement and improving access/quality in relation to environmental and bereavement services, complemented by supporting facilities services. These align to the principles of equity and fairness and creating improvement in relation to Children`s rights for rest, relaxation and play and environment and to improving social and physical wellbeing. In areas in relation to particular protected characteristics, e.g. garden maintenance scheme, existing services are continued, in anticipation of future improvements through the new operating model.
