The aims and objectives will be to maximise the efficiency of the service through service redesign without impacting significantly on services delivered to customers and the community. The service has a high turnover of staff and the proposed savings it is expected can be managed within existing vacancies and changes to advertised posts without reducing specific staff hours.

Recent assessments in line with Road Safety UK have identified several crossing points that are out with the current benchmarked threshold.
