1.Burials charges have not risen in last 3 financial years when other authorities have applied a charge we are raising this by 10% which brings it back in line.
when this is benchmarked against other authorities charges we would still be one of the 3 lowest in Scotland.
2.We are also mitigating this in financial year 23/24 buy covering the initial increase by paying this from balance approximately £60k
3. The re-tender of Respectful funeral service has now been completed and implemented with 4 partners providing a respectful, affordable and local alternative which reduces the cost and can be tailored to suit bereaved families requirements
