The System Pressures Investment Plan has the potential to improve outcomes for people with protected characteristics and those without, e.g., Multi Disciplinary Teams. Investment in care at home and reablement is expected to support people to remain in their own homes in the community. Prevention and early intervention approaches are expected to improve self-management among people with long-term conditions. The System Pressures Investment Plan builds on and enhances existing approaches and does not change policy direction. Individual workstreams should be subject to early detailed equality screening and assessment as applicable to ensure protected characteristics are given due regard. Metrics and baselines should be disaggregated by relevant protected characteristics and monitored. Links should be made with community of interest groups in taking forward workstreams.
