East Ayrshire`s Young Person`s Guarantee is targeting those furthest from the labour market, and those most marginalised in society. Our support and tailored offer is dynamic and flexible to be able to respond to the needs of the young people, to be designed to support them and reduce any barriers to their employment. Our offer is person-centred, and is designed around the young person and barrier removal to get them ready for the labour market, or to enter sustainable employment. Our offer is designed so that businesses can access funding to take young people on who are furthest away from the labour market, e.g. 100% salary support for those with multiple barriers such as a disability or never worked before. Our offer aims to have a high impact on these groups in a positive way, for them to access and design their opportunities.
East Ayrshire`s Young Person`s Guarantee has no negative impact on our young people aged 16-24.
A full EQIA will now be undertaken.
