With the exception of flexible working hours which is dependent upon the suitability of the role, all other elements of the policy are available for all employees to request. In determining whether a request can be accommodated managers have to consider the exigencies of the service and ensure that all requests are treated equally and fairly, in accordance with the Council`s Equal Opportunities strategy. Therefore no groups would be disadvantaged by the implementation of this revised policy.
