Free entertainment for kids will be taking place at The Cross, Kilmarnock from 12pm to 4pm every Tuesday and Thursday until Thursday 3 August.
Each week will have a different theme. Last week little ones were entertained by the Minions, who ensured everyone was ‘Happy’, and on Tuesday 18 July and Thursday 20 July, Steve fans will enjoy Minecraft related fun.
Pokemon will feature on Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 July while Potter fans will have to wait until Tuesday 1 and Thursday 3 August to dress as their favourite character for a fancy dress competition and meet some owls who would feel at home at Hogwarts.
Fiona Nicolson, Town Centre Manager said: “We’re very fortunate in Kilmarnock in having such a good performance and activity space at the Cross. It’s already proven successful for our Friday Summer Slots, with musicians playing while people sit and have their lunch. In the past our one-off children’s events have been very popular, so we’ve decided to run a total of 8 afternoons, spread over 4 weeks, to encourage families to visit and enjoy the fun and games while they shop.”
