Santa and his reindeer are coming to town!

It’s official! Santa is coming back to visit Kilmarnock town centre again on Sunday 10 December as part of his pre-Christmas shopping trip and training for his team of reindeer.

Kilmarnock has been specially selected for the last few years so it’s a great honour that he’s returning. Provost Todd will be on hand to welcome Santa along with a choir from Centrestage to ensure he feels welcome and at home in a Christmas-filled atmosphere.

Santa will arrive on his sleigh to The Cross at 12.45pm and two lucky local children will join him in his sleigh as it travels along King Street. A specially prepared Reindeer Pen will be set up at The Cross for the reindeer team to take a rest before flying off to their next destination.

After Santa gets his reindeer comfortably settled in their pen, he will be in the Burns Mall to meet local children and receive their Christmas letters. There will be free face painting in the Burns Mall as well.

Ayrshire Cancer Support is also organising its second fun Reindeer Dash to coincide with Santa’s visit. It will take place in the Howard Park and finish up in the town centre.

Don’t miss out on this magical day as we count down to Christmas.
