Information for parents of children from Lochnorris Primary
Dear Parent Carer
Although our children very much enjoyed their very first experience in Lochnorris Primary School today it was very clear that there were issues with the collection of children after school. We can only apologise for this as the level of parental attendance at the gate at the back of the school far outweighed that anticipated. In order to facilitate arrival and departure of campus, We would ask for your support with the following arrangements for tomorrow:
- We ask that only parents of p1,2 and 3 escort their child from the car parks to the school, a number of staff will be available to pick up the children at two locations: one at the front entrance to the school and one at the bridge between Cumnock Academy and the Campus.
- If you do escort your child/children towards the Campus in the morning, please limit this to one parent or carer per family.
- In the light of Tier 4 Covid Guidance all adults are asked to wear a face covering and adhere to normal social distancing rules
- Please note that all P1 classes, P2T, P2S and P2/3 will be released at the gate which is closest to the building (back of reception).
- Other parents wishing to collect their young people up directly from school should do so by exception only and approach the back or front of the school to pick up as per arrangements today.
- It would be helpful if you repeat the morning arrangements in the afternoon and give your child a reminder of whether you would like him/her picked up at the front or back of the school, and limit please to one parent or carer per household. Staff will again be present at both locations
- In the light of Tier 4 Covid Guidance all adults are asked to wear a face covering and adhere to normal social distancing rules.
Additional staff from the council will be with us again tomorrow, as was the case today to help you and answer any queries. We very much appreciate your support with these arrangements and thank you for your patience and understanding in these first few days.
