The Tour of Ayrshire, one of the world’s most prestigious cycling events, will be taking place in East Ayrshire on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April.
This event is a qualifier for the Gran Fondo World Championships and is set to attract thousands of cyclists from all over the country.
Event organisers Golazo Cycling, a major European brand in the sport, are now actively recruiting volunteers or Tour Makers to support in the delivery of this event.
There are a range of roles and shifts available over the course of the two day event.
Event organisers are not looking for traffic marshals or volunteers out on the roads but are seeking support with registration, catering and general activities at the main event hub in Kilmarnock.
Full details of the roles available can be found on the Golazo website
Every Tour Maker will be asked to nominate a local or a national charity or a voluntary group, Golazo will then donate £50 in return for the volunteer’s shift. This could be any charity of your choice, a local sports club or even a youth group.
Being a Tour Maker is a great way to experience the excitement of a major sporting event while raising money for a good cause.
